Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Child Drop-Off Scheme

A very successful Drop-Off Scheme operates each morning from 08.20 – 08.30 hrs for children to be dropped off using the dedicated spaces within the school grounds where they are greeted and accompanied to the playground or classroom by one of a number of adult parent/carer volunteers.

Child Pick up Scheme

Beginning in February 2008 we trialed a staggered end to the school day pick up scheme. This has been very successful in reducing congestion and keeping the children safe. From September 2008 this has become a permanent feature and the following arrangements apply:-

14:50 hrs Reception class pick up

14:55 hrs Yr 1 and 2 single children pick up

15:00 hrs Siblings and car share pick up

15.05 hrs Yr 3 and 4 single children pick up

Children are accompanied by a member of staff to the dedicated pick up area and staff will escort them safely into waiting cars. For further details please see the Travel Plan document. Reviewed 2007 Reviewed 2008
