SCHOOL MEALS
Our School Caterer, Mrs. Shutt, works with Pabulum to provide nutritionally balanced meals each day. She uses fresh produce and a minimum of processes food. Menus can always be found on notice boards in the school and in the hall next to the service hatch.
Please send money for the dinner required during the week in a clearly marked envelope to your child's class on the first day of each week. (£1.70 per day). Children are entitled to free dinners in some circumstances. Please contact the Headteacher or Free School Meals, Client Services, County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD. (Tel: 823461) if you think you qualify.
Pabulum is delighted to pay for an introductory meal for parent and child in any new family attending the school to give them the opportunity to sample a typical menu. Please see Mrs. Woodburn if you would like to take them up on this offer.
As an alternative to school dinners, children may bring a pack lunch. In line with our "Health School" status we request that there are no sweets or 'junk food'! The 5:1 ratio works will with 5 different healthy items to one treat. An award is given each week to a Healthy Lunch Muncher (for those eating school dinners) and for a Healthy Lunch Box, certificates are presented at our Collective Worship on a Friday.
